so the MIA rant was basically "there's sexism and people curse at sports events, therefore MIA shouldn't apologize for doing something illegal". yea... she was paid, (a whole LOT, in fact) to do a job. if you hire someone at your mcdonalds you tell them what to do and what not to do. flipping people off. dont do that. if you do that, it's only common sense to apologize. let's see that excuse anywhere else "yea i did something illegal and didnt do my job properly, but there's sexism in the world!
