right, rudeness! the way towards achieving a great discussion is to say "shut up" to anyone who disagrees. that shows confidence in that you've thought things through! i'll simplify: if you're hired to perform a job and in the process of performing that job you do something that you were specifically told not to and is in fact illegal, why exactly should you NOT apologize? ("because sexism" doesn't count as it's totally irrelevant)
